Controller The controller of the LavaLINE systems acts as the central communication and measurement component, thus without it system operation is not possible. The detailled information on the following pages is split in four subjects:

  1. General and interfacing

Bypass The bypass module ensures power supply of a connected load in cases where the main supply fails. This might occur when the load is fed by the inverters, but the batteries drop in voltage due to discharge or cell defective, or the load is supplied by mains and a power fail happens caused by a short circuit. The bypass then switches to the secondary supply, with an average switching time of less than 8ms. For further information, please refer to the component page or the appropriate datasheet.

Inverters The 2kVA / 4kVA inverters of the LavaLINE system are used in parallel mode, adding up to the required total output power. They can be mixed powerwise, and will identify themselves to the controller over the databus. Each connected inverter has a configurable ID for this purpose.
